This congregation was established (seceded) on 2 June 1950. A site was soon purchased, thanks to an alert N.H.S.V. branch. The church hall was inaugurated on 15 September 1951 under the leadership of the late Rev. C. H. Muller.

In January 1958, the congregation received their first permanent minister, Rev. J. A. A. Schroeder. He was able to move into his first monument, a comfortable parsonage, in May 1958. Following this, an effective organ was installed in the church hall, and work on a church building commenced immediately.

On 4 September 1970, the congregation received Rev. and Mrs P. J. L. Bierman. Under their leadership the congregation was able to inaugurate the church on 15 March 1975.¹
